Raison d'être

For more than fifty years, The Bel Canto Singers have been bringing excellence in choral performance to audiences through the exploration of works spanning the traditional to the experimental, and from ancient to modern. Why? Because we love it.

Choral Stewardship

Hundreds of choristers have passed through our ranks over the years, and at times, the choir has had three family generations represented at the same time.  Maintaining a healthy choral community in New Brunswick is key to continuing this tradition.

The Tradition Continues

Saturday December 6 & Sunday December 7 2025

From John Rutter's sweet melodies and Benjamin Britten's delicious dissonance, to the shimmering soundscapes of Andrew Balfour and Ola Gjeilo's cinematic textures, we invite you to come along to help celebrate a season of contemplation, joy and awe, and raise your own voices with us in some Christmas classics.

The Season for Singing

Saturday, May 30  2026

Is there a better way to welcome spring than with song? Stroll down Bel Canto's garden path blossoming with seasonal compositions from Handel to Purcell, and R. Murray Schafer to Fredericton's own Douglas Vipond.
And look over there: it's The Elm City String Quartet!
